The Inc. Village of Hempstead is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic.

Typical duties include repair work on gasoline or diesel-powered automobiles, trucks, sweepers, heavy equipment, and other automotive equipment. Must be experienced over-hauling or replacing transmissions, valves, clutches, brakes, generators, and ignition systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have four (4) Four years of satisfactory experience in skilled repair and maintenance of automobiles, trucks, or other automotive equipment.
H.S. diploma or equivalent.
**Valid NYS Commercial Driver's License required
